Leach, Patrick - CLAY, PHOTOGRAPHY

Patrick Leach creates unique pottery, bringing to his clients and customers beautifully artistic and earthy works of art. Patrick is from the St’át’imc Nation Territory. He was born near his mother’s Coast Salish community, Snuneymuxw First Nation and was raised in the community of T’ít’q’et near Lillooet, BC as a member of the P’egpig’7lha (Frog) clan. Patrick opened his own company; P’egpig’7lha Studio & Gallery in 2008 creating unique pottery. He first learnt the technique of carving from George Leach and Master potter Erdman Tuemp from Lillooet taught him how to create pottery and glazing techniques. Drawing from his creative mind and steady hand, Patrick places the final touches on his hand-carved pottery by carefully carving landscapes, geometric designs and scenes from ancient traditional rock paintings and basket weavings. Each piece is a one-of-a kind creation. Interest in Patrick’s pottery increased dramatically during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. You can find his creations in the museums and galleries across BC.
